Ben Stokes in numbers

A look at the career of England international cricketer Ben Stokes who has been selected for this year's Ashes tour despite his recent arrest.

Born as Benjamin Andrew Stokes on June 4, 1991, Ben Stokes is a British international cricketer who is currently the vice captain of the English Test team.

He was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, and he moved to England when he was 12 years old.

In that time, Stokes began to play cricket at the Cockermouth Cricket Club. He won North Lancashire & Cumbria Cricket League and Premier Division Title with the club, and he was only 15 at the time!

He covers three roles in the team: all-rounder, middle-order and batsman.

Stokes played for Durham (2009), Melbourne Renegades (2015), and from 2017 he is a proud member of India's cricket team Rising Pune Supergiant.

Stokes was bought by Rising Pune Supergiant for more than 2 million dollars, and he already managed to get an award playing for the new team - Stoke was awarded the Man of the Match, against Gujarat Lions.
