Skier Lindsey Vonn aiming for the win for her late grandfather

United States skier Lindsey became tearful when talking about her late grandfather and said she is '"going to win for him".

The 33-year-old skier from Saing Paul, Minnesota is going to compete at the 2018 World Olympic Games, and she wants to win no matter what.

Vonn has a strong urge for the first place not only because she is competitive, but because she wants to dedicate that potential win to her late grandfather.

Vonn started skiing when she was 10 years old, after she met with the Olympic gold medalist ski racer Picabo Street.

Now, Lindsey Vonn has her own medals from the Winter Olympic games.

At the 2010 Vancouver OG, Vonn has won a gold medal in downhill racing. And in the same year, she has won bronze medal in super-G competition.

She has two gold medals, three silver and one bronze medal from various World Championships, and she was also very successful as a junior skier, having three medals from Junior World Ski Championships.
