German figure skaters break world record

Aljona Savchenko and Bruno Massot broke their own world record in the pairs figure skating final.

Aliona Savchenko is an Ukrainian-born skater, that was born on January 1984, in Obukhiv. She is currently competing for Germany.

Savchenko began skating very young, in 1989.

That is the same year her current skating partner Bruno Massot was born!

Massot is also representing Germany in Pairs' figure skating, even though he was born in Caen, France.

Their choreographers include Christopher Dean, John Kerr, Silvia Fontana and Martin Skotnicky.

And with a team like that, these two are unstoppable!

They have just won a gold medal at 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic games in Pairs' figure skating event, breaking their own world record!
