Guardiola's shameful confession

Pep Guardiola is asked by a reporter about the time he tried to sign for Wigan Athletic when he was a player. The question comes at the beginning of the press conference and takes Guardiola by surprise, who laughs and admits he was not good enough.

So, let us take a look at a brief version of Guardiola's career, and remember for a moment who he was, before becoming one of the most important football managers of all times.

Josep Pep Guardiola was born on January 18th, 1971 in Santpedor, Spain.

In his youth, Guardiola was playing as a defensive midfielder for many teams including: Barcelona, Brescia, Roma and Dorados.

He was also in Spanish national team, as well in Catalonian national team.

His professional career lasted from 1988 until 2005.

In 2007 Guardiola changed his profession and became a football manager for Barcelona B team. Next year, he was transferred to the main team Barcelona, where he stayed until 2012. In 2013-2016 period, Pep was managing Bayern Munich. And from 2016 he is at the Manchester City.

And if you didn't heard already, City just lost against Wigan Athletic, with 1-0 score!
